good eats: archipelago

it’s been a hot minute since i wrote my last blog post — wild few months. but let’s not waste anymore time!

archipelago is a filipino inspired restaurant that only serves eight people at a time. it’s an intimate experience with chef aaron verzosa and his wife amber manuguid. they walk you through a journey of dishes inspired by their filipino culture and pacific northwest roots. it’s counter seating so you get to see the entire dish come to fruition before your eyes. andy and i absolutely love dining experiences like this. it’s not only incredible to see the process but also makes us feel more connected to the chefs themselves.

this was our first exposure to filipino food. while archipelago’s take incorporated more of a modernized pnw flare, chef aaron gave us some recommendations for more traditional filipino food in the area that we can’t wait to to try, too. we highly recommend checking out this hidden seattle gem. plan your reservations ahead of time, it’s well worth the wait. thanks so much to aaron and amber for a truly special experience.
